First Flush is here!

The first day of plucking was preceded by an "offering to the tea gods" where Glenburn Manager - Sanjay Sharma and his team performed various rituals to bless the Glenburn community, the tea fields, and to bring us a good crop this season.  A holy red thread (Mauli) was tied on a representative tea bush, and the first leaves offered along with a coconut, fresh flowers, and various grains that represent the coming of a new harvest.
